My grandmother Mary Evelyn passed away when my dad was only 12. She had written a poem to him when he was but a baby, and we found it in his baby book. I asked Jenna to make it into a beautiful piece to hang on the wall, and had 3 made for my family, mom, and my brother’s family. As you can imagine, his mother’s death impacted Daddy all his life. Daddy once told me that her last words to him, when she lay dying, was that she hoped he grew up to be a good man, which was an echo from this poem, before she ever knew she wouldn’t be there to experience it. Grandma, he grew up to be not just a good man, but a great man. Thank you, Jenna, for creating such beautiful pieces. These will be cherished keepsakes passed down to the generations.
